Holt News submissions
When you submit News, we may collect your name, email address, phone number if supplied, organisation, source or supporting material, the story you submit, any optional supporting image with its photo credit and suggested description, and the confirmations you make about accuracy and permission. Supporting images are reviewed before use and are not published automatically. We use this information to review, verify, edit and, where appropriate, publish local News. Your private contact details, supporting material and submitted images are not published until a member of the HoltNow team explicitly approves them.
Holt Voices
For Holt Voices, this can include your private name, chosen public display name, email address, postcode area and connection to Holt, along with the contribution or response you submit. Private contributor information is used for moderation, safeguarding, verification and contacting you when necessary. Public display names and wording selected for publication are shown only after human moderation.
Editorial records and retention
We retain submissions, private verification information and moderation records so that editorial decisions can be managed responsibly. Published material may later be corrected, updated or archived. Publication is not guaranteed.
Images
Images used with News are uploaded by authorised HoltNow staff. Staff are expected to have permission to publish them. Public image information may include alt text, captions and credits; it does not include private submitter contact details.
